The Last Week of the Year.

The last week of term is always a bit chaotic. The last week of the YEAR even more so. My saving grace is that I am switching schools so I'm not having to prep for next year yet (although I will have to spend some of my Summer doing so...).

Last weekend might have been the only one this school year that I didn't do any work.
I actually said to my husband, "I don't feel like I'm going to school on Monday because I have no work to do on Sunday night".

The realisation that THAT is the standard I've set for myself is a little sad but hopefully, next year, at my new school, there will be a positive shift in my work-life balance.

We had drinks in Hackney for a friends 30th birthday on Saturday. On Sunday, we woke up early and went for a walk around Walthamstow with a coffee and banana bread in hand. There are some lovely green spaces in our part of London and I always feel really fortunate to have them on our doorstep. The rest of our Sunday was very slow - roast dinner, some reading and a movie.

We watched: Casino

The school week went something like this...

Monday:

More Twinkl packs...
We watched: Our Planet and SING.

We had some drinks after school and I said my goodbyes. I feel at peace with my decision to leave and know I will see some of my colleagues again!
